APALA Literature Awards Dinner

Join us to celebrate our 2019 APA Awards for Literature winners!

The goal of the Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature is to honor and recognize individual work about Asian/Pacific Americans and their heritage, based on literary and artistic merit.

Date: Saturday, June 22, 2019

Time: 6:30 p.m.: Socialize with APALA Members and Friends
7:00-9:15 p.m.: Dinner and Awards Presentation

Location: Sakina Halal Grill, 1108 K St NW, Washington, DC 20005 (0.2 miles from the convention center, so a five minute walk)

Learn more about the restaurant and the owner, Kazi Mannan:

Menu: Buffet Style dinner of lamb korma, chicken biryani, ginger chicken karahi, BBQ chicken, saag paneer, dall makhani, salad, rice, naan bread, rice pudding, soft drinks, tea, juice, and lassi.

For Vegan option, please let us know ahead of time by saying "YES" on the vegan option field.

No alcohol served/allowed at the restaurant (since this is a halal restaurant)
