Enjoy more of Denver during the ALA Midwinter conference!

Join Gil Asakawa who will lead a tour and talk about the history of the Asians who settled in the metro area. Gil is an author, journalist, editor and blogger on Asian Americans. For more information about Gil follow him on Twitter @GilAsakawa or his blog at nikkeiview.com.

On Friday, February 9, 2018, tour attendees will meet at the Convention Center at 10:00 am just inside the building where The Blue Bear is peering in, on the 14th Street side. We will take a 20- minute walk to Sakura Square to meet Gil Asakawa who will guide our tour (about 70 mins). You can also come directly to Sakura Square and meet in front of the Governor Carr bust at 10:30 a.m. Lunch afterwards will be a pay-on-your-own lunch at noon at J.J.'s Bistro & Sushi.  Be sure to pack your snow boots - it's winter in Colorado!

For APALA members, the tour costs $10/person; non-members cost $15/person.
